STAYING IN TOUCH WHEN YOU TRAVEL

Every business traveler knows how vital it is to be in touch with your office when you are constantly on the move. Sometimes you need to make an important call as soon as you get off a plane or a train. If you can imagine yourself in a situation like that, then you might find the following information useful:

Pulkovo II International Airport
Moscow Railway Station
Finland Railway Staion
Cellular phones

Pulkovo II International Airport

You will find BCL card telephones at both Arrivals and Departures areas of the airport. These phones will allow you to call anywhere in the world with your credit card or with a prepaid telephone card which can be purchased at service desks located in both lobbies.

SPT card telephones accept prepaid telephone cards only and seem to be a better bargain for local and national calls. The cards can be bought at service desks.

See Airport floor plans for locations

The Moscow Railway Station

The station has introduced a new Service Center which is by no means flashy but does offer reliable telephone, fax and photocopying services as well as typing. The center is located in the Main Hall, behind the left shoulder of the statue of Peter the Great.

The Finland Railway Station

If you arrive by rail from Finland you will find the nearest telephone at the Express 2/Intourist ticket office, which is behind a set of glass doors near the end of your platform. Window #16 at your right will sell you calling cards for an SPT telephone or send your fax (at an outrageously high rate, though). Click here to see how to dial.
